Excellon Announces Resignation of Director
Toronto, Ontario – February 26, 2014 – Excellon Resources Inc. (TSX:EXN; OTC:EXLLF) ("Excellon" or the “Company"), announces that Mr. Ned Goodman has resigned as a director effective immediately. He will resume his role as a special advisor to the board of directors of the Company. This week Mr. Goodman resigned from a number of public company boards due to increased work commitments as the President and Chief Executive Officer and Director of Dundee Corp. (“Dundee”), and as Chairman of the board of directors of DREAM Unlimited Corp.
Mr. Goodman has served as a director of Excellon since April 2013 with distinction and the entire board thanks him for his contributions during this period. Excellon looks forward to Mr. Goodmans’ continued involvement with the Company.
Excellon’s 100%-owned La Platosa Mine in Durango is Mexico’s highest grade silver mine, with lead and zinc by-products making it one of the lowest cash cost silver mines in the country. The Company is positioning itself to capitalize on undervalued projects by focusing on increasing La Platosa’s profitable silver production and near-term mineable resources.
